One of the oldest Legion Posts in the U.S., Pacific American Legion Post 320 was established in May 1920, just three months after the National American Legion was formed in downtown St. Louis. Named for Colwell Harris, first Pacific soldier killed in WWI. The name was later amended to add Paul Williams, first Pacific soldier killed in WWII. In 1930 Legion purchased a lot, built an outdoor kitchen and held a series of public events. In 1951 Post built its first post home. 

The structure was the site of the first Pacific Senior Center, providing weekday meals to seniors in 1967, which later moved to Eureka. The frame structure building was destroyed by fire in January 2002. Current building was completed, on the site of the first post home, in 2006.  This building contains a bar and rental hall, which includes a kitchen.

Pacific Eagles Aerie #3842 and Auxiliary is the premier service organization in the Pacific area, providing funding for International Eagles charities and local projects and programs offered by the Meramec Valley RIII School District, Backpack School Supply Program, Safety Net for Homeless Students, Tri County Senior Center, and Historic First Baptist Church.

The Pacific Lions Club is the dean of civic organizations in Pacific, founded in the 1930 to assist out of work families during the Great Depression by offering minimal pay for work on local projects. Primary service is to provide eye care and glasses to the needy. Has hosted an Annual Pancake breakfast for 00 years. The Lions place flags on downtown businesses on patriotic holidays and place the lighted Christmas Tree atop Sand Mountain in December.

The Tri County Senior Center offers weekday noon meals for senior citizens and hosts organizations, events and programs that benefit seniors. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. There is no charge but reservations are needed to plan meal sizes. Bingo each Wednesday and Friday at 10:00 a.m.  The building also serves as a community center, providing space local GED classes, local amateur radio club meetings, Boy & Girl Scout meetings, City of Pacific meetings, funeral repasts and others.
